My dear readers, I was thinking today is the day when I will talk about YOGA, how I fell in love and how many surprising benefits it brought me into my life. Today is 11.11. 2021. What powerful numbers!
Let me tell you!
First I would like to tell you how many years I had a lower back pain and neck pain caused by stress. You cannot even imagine how this pain was almost part of my daily life.
Yes, I could take back painkillers but I didn't. I generally am not a pill person. I never went to the doctors with this type of problem because I knew where they come from. The problems with my back appeared after I was lacking in my sleep which was happening often, see another post about insomnia: https://bit.ly/3F6Zbxq .
The second reason was the stress which I definitely had daily in my work but also it is a part of me as a person and definitely, another cause was the long car driving too! I would almost believe that if my mum was having back pain problems then also I might inherit part of it.
I dealt probably 10 years with the back pain!
10 years is a quite long period to live a life with something that actually became a part of it but doesn't need to be like this! Many of you will already know that I am a very active person so I regularly practice exercise if outdoors or indoors but I do daily. I would be inline skating since I was 15, running, long walks, swimming, gym, etc. This helped me definitely for my mind and short term for my back pain too.
But never ever I experience that feeling after when I started to practice yoga!
It is only something like 7 months so not even one year but the dramatic changes in my posture, my mental clarity but MOST IMPORTANT would be my upper and lower back stopped to hurt me.
As I started with yoga, it was not easy and I was not sure if this will be the right exercise for me.
I started to practice daily with Surya Namaskar for about 20 minutes and later on, I added other asanas which I practice additionally for my women's body health.
As I am very active during the day, I love to start my day by stretching my body and the breathing exercises together with expressing gratefulness sand a short morning mediation. I noticed huge changes in dealing with daily life after this routine became part of my morning!
The person who starts to practice yoga must understand that it is not just like a type of exercise, it is a way of thinking and living life differently. What do I mean differently? The way of thinking becomes mindful, the connection with the universe becomes stronger, the way of breathing becomes more focused together with breathing techniques and meditation a daily life!
I was not the yoga and meditation person at all!
If I say that yoga was not part of my life then you have to believe me. Once I started to feel the benefits and see the improvement in my body posture I will never leave it. The most important would be life without experiencing the daily back pain! This is life-changing to me.
Yoga is great not only for our body but the mind and the general well-being, so I believe that you have to mature as a human to understand it. I speak for myself and from my experience that is what my blog is about, sharing my true stories for you!
5000 years of yoga existence should be enough to know that this is so beneficial for your life like you only can wish to be.
Among other benefits that yoga brought into my daily life were my improved stress levels, sleep, posture, and strength.
Thank you YOGA, you changed my life!
