What January 2022 taught me

I was thinking about what the January topic should be as I have so many on my mind that I would like to share this time.

This year January seems to be never-ending to me. I cannot really understand why but the fact is that it is very long, anyways 6 weeks of it.

I learned some new things and I am grateful for it.

In the bad moments, you will understand what matters to you.

This is the holly fact what life will show you in the situations you have been through. I am talking only about the circle of your friends but also about realizing what you want, what drives you and also what doesn't.

Our life is bringing unexpected moments and situations we have to deal with and also new situations we have to learn how to manage. There is definitely no plan which you can 100% stick to it because life is not predictable. This can be challenging on one side but on another, it also can make you feel more anxious.

I personally like new challenges and new paths but you never know when they will really come into your life. Even if you plan them, they might change the directions because of different circumstances. Many of you know what I am talking about right?

My list of what January taught me seems to be quite long too.

First of all I made sure again that the health is wealth

No matter how old you are, there is only one priority and it is to be healthy, mentally and physically. Prioritising my health is the number 1 fact I became 100% sure in this month.

Second good sleep is vitaly important to be able to function well

How to know what is good for you and making your sleep better is as important as eating the right foods at the right time. Our bodies function like a clock and they exactly know what to do if you teach them. We have a circadian rhythm which is a very clever system in order to live healthily and live well.

You can also read about how to improve your sleep in my previous article:

Third important fact is learning is growing.

No matter how you practice this try to learn every single day new things. It can be reading a book, listening to motivational videos, and podcasts, learning a new skill, improving your physical condition, for example starting a new sport or exercise and getting better at it. I realized that I am actually MUCH BETTER and more flexible in practising the yoga routine. This makes me so happy!

I also include the podcasts to this category I listen daily to, I just recently realized how much knowledge I actually gathered in certain areas of mental health and general well-being. How satisfying is this to me to know that daily podcasts bring me so much to my life?

Forth fact I am happy about is the power of mind

I want to mention the self-talks in a way that makes you feel good and mentally strong. I used to be very bad with myself in a way I would literally destroy myself with all the overthinking and negative self-talk! I learned to reduce these bad habits and I learned how to show my thoughts that I am in the charge of them, not my subconscious mind!

Training like daily cold morning showers, meditation, exercise, journaling, etc is a powerful method how to remind yourself - BE KIND WITH YOURSELF.

Teaching my mind daily with these techniques helped me to not underestimate myself in certain situations. Because there are moments in our lives you tend to see yourself as a bad person. But the power of positive thinking is something you can DEFINITELY learn.

Another fact I made sure myself about this month is be kind to others and show love

I believe that is a golden rule on how to function in life. Love should spread love and not hate. If you are kind to others and thankful for small things to them, you feel much better. Small things like smiling, saying thank you, welcome, please, have a great day but saying this from your heart is all!

I hope you enjoyed this reading and I cannot wait to share my next thoughts in another blog post.

Let me know how is your experience in the comments.
